The dream of catching the biggest fish of your life can be squashed by the realization that all the parking spots are taken and you can't get down to the river. To escape the crowds on your own is to venture into the last frontier. However, it does take the right equipment and years of experience to be safe in the Alaskan wild and this again is where guide selection is extremely important.
